Skopje, 10 August 2026, dtt-net.com – Ethnic Albanian students in North Macedonia from the Mother Theresa University in capital Skopje, today handed their own written request to the new (Albanian) Minister of Justice, calling to take bar and other state professional exams in native language, which was refused by the previous (Macedonian) minister.
“Two and a half years, dozens of requests, two protests, change of ministers... and again we are here, in front of the Ministry of Justice, to submit the same request: to allow Albanian students to take professional exams in Albanian. We have been fighting for this right for a long time. We have demanded, insisted and protested. Today, after the dismissal of former Minister Igor Filkov, we submit the same request to his successor, Minister Jeton Shasivari,” the chairperson of university’s student assembly Besar Sejdi said through Facebook.
