Prishtina, 02 September 2026, dtt-net.com – The Acting President of Kosovo, today signed resignations of total 18 Serb judges, following rejection of their request to return to jobs by Kosovo’s Judicial Council (KJC), after resignations handed over in late 2022.
“Following the proposal of the Kosovo Judicial Council, in accordance with constitutional and legal responsibilities, I have today dismissed 18 Serbian judges who had resigned in 2022,” Albulena Haxhiu announced through social media.
Haxhiu’s move follows KJC decision of last week when it rejected a request of July by local Serb judges and administrative staff to return to job after four years of their massive resignation ordered by Serbia in a boycott push for formation of autonomous body with special powers for ten Serb-predominantly municipalities.
