Croatia’s PM sees as “reasonable” counter-conditions of North Macedonia’s counterpart over EU/Bulgaria condition for entry talks

Skopje/Brussels, 29 May 2026, dtt-net.com – Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said demands of North Macedonian counterpart for guarantees from the EU of no more conditions related Macedonian identity and language by Bulgaria in exchange of fulfilling bloc’s condition of 2022 to change country’s Constitution needed for unlocking accession negotiations are “reasonable”. “I think that this is a reasonable position of the Macedonian government and Prime Minister Mickoski,” Plenkovic was quoted as saying in an interview to 360Stepeni.mk news website during a visit to the country earlier this week.
