Athens/Belgrade, 22 August 2023, dtt-net.com – A joint declaration by heads of state and government of Greece, Serbia, Moldova, Ukraine, Montenegro, Romania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Croatia, at the summit held in Athens yesterday in the presence of leaders of two EU institutions, has exempted from its final version an initial text which called for implementation of EU sanctions against Russia because of military aggression against Ukraine, Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic unveiled, explaining that exemption was done on his demand and with the understanding of the Greek hosts of the summit and participants, as Belgrade refuses to join EU sanctions on its traditional and strong ally.
