Brussels, 10 September 2026, dtt-net.com – The European Union is struggling with its goals of ending energy dependence from Russia and shift to clean energy, four years after designing the named REPowerEU goals, the European Court of Auditors (ECA) said in a report yesterday.
ECA said that committing only less than one fifth of €300 billion in additional investments to meet the objective by 2030 for more renewable energy production and interconnectivity, the four-year results show that the REPowerEU plan is “falling short of some its main targets” so far.
