Brussels, 27 June 2026, dtt-net.com – Governments of 27 member states Friday endorsed the December proposal of the European Commission (EC) aimed at improving and speeding up energy interconnection network construction in the European bloc for electricity, hydrogen and gas sectors.
Talks over the proposal are now moved to the European Parliament for a final agreement and legislation, to be followed by a detailed action plan to be designed by the EC and member states.
The proposal includes hydrogen transport infrastructure as well, for which the Brussels-based Hydrogen Europe organization said last year that €170 billion (or €400 billion including electrolysers and terminals), would be needed for hydrogen grid across the EU territory…
