Brussels, 22 September 2026, dtt-net.com – The EU’s Energy Community, in a forum held and chaired by the European Commission (EC) Tuesday urged partner countries, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine, which are contracting parties of the body, to follow EU measures in ending supplies of Russian natural gas.
Of the nine aspirant, Ukraine, Moldova have already stopped being supplied Russian gas, Albania, Montenegro, and Kosovo have never imported, while Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia, continue imports from Russia and at the same preparing to diversify supplies with the end goal of also ending those from Russia, and switch to American LNG, on top of Azerbaijani natural gas they are already importin since 2024, BiH exemption.
