Podgorica, 02 February 2025, dtt-net.com – Ruling parties in Montenegro have proposed to the opposition intervention of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe (CoE) over ongoing dispute related to the retirement decision on a member of the Constitutional Court by a parliamentary committee, but the proposal is rejected as the opposition accuses the majority of overtaking competences of the top court and of “constitutional coup” over what is blocking the work of the legislative body since December.
