Belgrade, 21 April 2026, dtt-net.com – Serbian and Azerbaijan state-owned energy companies have negotiating to set up a joint company in Serbia, which will be in charge of construction and managing Serbia’s first gas-fired power plant, officials announced today.
Serbia companies "Elektroprivreda Srbije" and "Srbijagas” and Azerbiajani’s SOCAR are also expected to sign a contract next month for construction of the 500 MW/h plant near Nis town, according to Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović.
