Belgrade/Brussels, 24 July 2024, dtt-net.com – The new Prime Minister of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, today in a parliamentary session said that Belgrade “has not accepted” the Franco-German agreement of 27 February 2023, known also as ‘basic agreement’ or “Agreement on the path to normalisation between Kosovo and Serbia”, and which Serbian authorities refuse to sign, reiterating that the reason of rejection of the text is because Belgrade refusal of implicit and explicit recognition of Kosovo’s independence.

“When it comes to the Kosovo and Metohija, let me say once more and be it evidenced in steno-gram and audio: Republic of Serbia has not accepted the French-German agreement. Once more: We have not accepted French-German agreement. We have not signed it and have put clear guidelines, clear remarks respectively on it, and said very clear: it’s unacceptable implicit-explicit recognition of Kosovo’s independence, so-called independence of Kosovo. That’s the red line for Republic of Serbia…”, Vucevic said while answering questions of opposition lawmakers.
