Belgrade, 03 May 2025, dtt-net.com – Because of “sudden illness” the authoritarian President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has interrupted his visit to the USA, where he was hoping to meet Donald Trump, and returned to capital Belgrade today to be sent to country’s military hospital for a medical check, according to doctors.

Cardiologist Dragan Vučić from the military hospital VMA, who surveys health of Serbia’s President, told state-owned news agency Tanjug that during his visit in USA Vucic had “chest pains” which according to a text he was reading and told by President the pain was “strong” and lasted “few seconds”.

According to Dinčić, President Vučić is now feeling better.

“Contrary to the advice of American doctors, the President decided to return in the country, and he returned at 13h…”, he said still reading a text to Tanjug agency camera.

While still reading the text, doctor Dinčić said that Vučić’s health now is “stable and satisfactory” and will leave the military hospital today.

But “certainly it is not real to expect that the President can fully return to his working activities,” he said.

There were no questions asked by Tanjug agency to Vučić’s military doctor, nor to the Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar who was with him.

Vučić was planning to travel to Moscow on invitation of Vladimir Putin for May 9 parade, after USA visit.

His planned visit to Russian capital for the event was disliked by EU officials, who have said that Serbia relations with Russia “cannot be business as usual” amid ongoing military aggression against Ukraine launched in February 2022.
