Brussels, 04 February 2026, dtt-net.com – The European Commission (EC) said that interruption of funds disbursement for North Macedonia’s agriculture sector continues despite indictment filed two days ago by the local prosecutor’s office against five people amid bribe case related.
“The European Commission is aware of the investigative activities by the authorities of North Macedonia on suspicions of potential corruption by a high-ranking official within the IPARD Agency,” an EC spokesperson told dtt-net.com when asked about the eventual effect of the indictment to the temporary halt of payments by Brussels.
