Sarajevo, 31 May 2026, dtt-net.com – Wildfires have hit Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), with army’s helicopters deployed yesterday to extinguish the fires in remote areas of Jablanica municipality.
“16 members of the Jablanica Fire Department and Jablanica Fire Department participated in extinguishing the fire. Members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a helicopter also participated in the firefighting operation. Approximately 25 buckets were thrown out yesterday during the day, the fire is still active,” the directorate for civilian protection of the Bosniak-Croat entity said.
