North Macedonia to purchase 3 million tons of coal from Kosovo

Skopje/Prishtina, 17 August 2026, dtt-net.com – The government-owned electricity producing company in North Macedonia ESM said it signed an agreement with Kosovo’s government-owned power producing company KEK to exploit and purchase 3 million of tons of coal for next 36 months. The deal signed by the General Director of AD ESM, Lazo Uzunchev, and the General Director of KEK, Gramos Hashani, is for 73,2 million euros, or 24,4 euros for ton.
