EU Commission says it started lifting “some” sanctions on Kosovo, but refuses to tell which ones

Brussels, 02 June 2025, dtt-net.com – The EU’s chief of diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, last month said that the EU “has begun to gradually lift measures” on Kosovo introduced two years ago, after her predecessor Josep Borrell and the former mediator of Kosovo-Serbia talks, Miroslav Lajcak, blamed Kosovan government over tensions in Serb-predominantly four northern municipalities when around 90 NATO soldiers were injured by Serbia-backed violent rioters, but her office and the European Commission (EC) continue refusing to explain which sanctions it started lifting exactly and which ones remain to be lifted.
