Brussels/Tirana, 28 November 2023, dtt-net.com – The European Commissioner for enlargement of the EU, Oliver Varhelyi today praised a recent agreement between Italian and Albanian governments for construction of two camps in Albania for African asylum-seeking migrants, a deal which is criticized by human rights watchdogs and Council of Europe Commissioner on top of Albanian opposition parties, while the European Commission (EC) hasn’t made a final assessment on it as of yet but only a confusing preliminary one.
