EU governments approve more sanctions on Russia, including on energy, over military aggression against Ukraine

Luxembourg, 15 June 2026, dtt-net.com – Governments of EU member states today approved 21st sanctions package on Russia over ongoing military aggression against Ukraine.

Restrictive measures of today, proposed by the European Commission last week, target Russia oil revenues too.

The list of today includes Tahir Garayev and Konstantin Rogach and 24 entities related to the “shipment and export of crude oil or petroleum products from Russia, including through Russia’s shadow fleet, a tool designed to circumvent EU sanctions and which poses a threat to maritime safety and the environment,” according to the decision of ministers meeting in Luxembourg.

“These listings cover Lukoil-Western Siberia and numerous companies based in Russia, Liberia, Türkiye, United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan and Hong Kong,” the EU said.
