Istanbul, 27 May 2026, dtt-net.com – Italian Edison and Turkish Botas have agreed to jointly explore possibility for construction of a new gas pipeline and hydrogen-ready from Türkiye through Greece to reach Italian territory through undersea waters, with energy sources meant to be collected from North Africa area and Middle East.
The two companies signed last week a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Istanbul, agreeing to work together for a potential pipeline, for natural gas discoveries in Türkiye waters territory, North Africa area and Middle East, and also planned hydrogen production for the European Union market.
