Serbia’s PM-Designate says EU entry talks stalled because of Kosovo and Ukraine

Belgrade, 01 May 2024, dtt-net.com – The Prime Minister-Designate of Serbia, Milos Vucevic, today told the parliament that governments of EU member countries are not allowing the country to open more negotiating chapters/clusters in membership negotiations for three years already, because of Belgrade’s relations with Kosovo, referring to the inconclusive EU-mediated talks on what is called “normalization” of relations between Serbia and Kosovo, and also because of what he called “events” in Ukraine, referring to the refusal of Serbia to join European bloc’s sanctions against Russia over military aggression against Ukraine.
