Serbia’s President downplays importance of criteria for EU entry, calls member states for “strategic” decisions on enlargement

Budapest/Brussels, 07 November 2024, dtt-net.com – The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said at a forum held in Budapest that European Union member states and its institutions should make ‘strategic decisions’ on the enlargement of the bloc, while at the same time he downplayed the importance of criteria candidate countries should meet outlined in 35 negotiating chapters during the entry talks.
