Brussels/Prishtina, 27 November 2023, dtt-net.com – NATO’s Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, today said that the western military alliance believes that the EU-proposed statute for what is called ‘Association of Serb-majority Municipalities (ASM)” is an “important step” at the EU-mediated and USA-backed negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia, while Kosovan opposition and local Constitutional experts fear that if a such body is formed it would cause internal administrative divisions based on ethnic lines and a new Serbia-controlled institution in detriment of state functionality.
